Interior. Neo-Baroque

Calling this interior Baroque is a convention on my part — it also carries elements of other styles. The project began together with the Salisbury studio; I finished it alone. Naturally, any object of this kind is the fruit of many people's work, from the owners through to the designer. In this case a good number of the ideas came from the client.

My task was to bring it all together into one harmonious whole.

Here is an incomplete list of those who took part in the project — unfortunately, contact with many of them has been lost over the years.

I want to single out the honest, high-quality work of Sergei Potapov, a true jack of all trades — general construction, plumbing and much else besides. I am very glad chance brought us together. Alexander Sobko coordinated everyone on site and produced the decorative plasterwork. The murals in the bathroom are by Iryna Ganina, those in the bedroom by Valeriy Vasiliev.

They, along with Yelena Solodianikova, also toned the stucco moulding — fine and painstaking work.

The moulding itself was made by the sculpture studio of Sergei Yuhno and Vasiliy Mikropulo, whose company Obelisk produced the fireplace and the other marble pieces. The bespoke furniture, interior doors and wooden grilles came from Woodline, the curtains from AVE SOL, the parquet from Parketnyi Mir. The beautiful stained glass for the living-room doors was made after sketches by the artist Pavel Grebeniuk.
